Dan Tinkler is a lifelong musician whose passion for performance and musical study led him into the world of audio engineering. Since 2010, he has engineered more than 50 projects and mixed countless others, working with artists from all over the US. Most of his time has been spent engineering and managing Chicago’s iconic Atlas Studios. In addition to working in the studio Dan is an adjunct instructor at Flashpoint Chicago and can also be found running sound around Chicago's many music venues.

I have been tracking artists at my home based studio, R3 Studios CL for the last 4 years. I have met many great people and have worked on some great music. I am grateful for the opportunities that I have here and owe a huge thanks all to the artists that I have worked with! May will be the last month that I will be tracking projects in this space. I will be finishing all ongoing projects before moving my operations. I am archiving all of the sessions that I have worked on so no one will lose anything. It is bittersweet for me to be making this move, but I am excited for what the future holds.

Starting in June I will be offering my engineering services at Atlas Studios in Chicago. Atlas is a staple in the Chicago music scene and has been for nearly 20 years. The studio offers high quality preamps and microphones, as well as one of the best sounding drum rooms in Chicago, (the best in my opinion). It has been an ambition of mine to work out of Atlas for years and I couldn’t be more excited to begin! I am looking to expand my work in Chicago. If you have worked with me in the past or are looking to in the future I would greatly appreciate spreading the word!

I will be continually updating about sessions and other things going on in my audio world. Until next time!
